Selling Services

StoreMate can be used for:

• Exclusively for Services
• Exclusively for Product Selling (trading)
• A Combination of Services & Product Selling

How to Add a Service to StoreMate

1. Go to Add New Products.
2. Add the name of your service, e.g., Computer Repair, Accounting, E-Commerce Development, Consulting, Plumber, Hair Cutting, etc.
3. Uncheck the “Manage Stock?” option for service-based products, as they don’t have stock counts.
4. If you want to add a description for the service, such as describing issues for computer repair, check the “Enable Product description, IMEI or Serial Number” checkbox.

Selling Services Using the POS Screen

To create an invoice or receipt for a service:

1. Go to Add Sales or the POS Screen.
2. Enter the name of the service.
3. If you enabled “Enable Product description, IMEI or Serial Number,” a popup will appear to add a description. If not, you can manually add it as shown in the image below.
4. To print the description on the invoice, go to Settings -> Invoice Settings -> Invoice Layout, select the layout you’re using, enable “Show sale description,” and click Update.

The description you entered will now display on the invoice or receipt.
